Circadian rhythm
As part of nature, man is subject to different rhythms: everyone notices that he reacts differently to different times and seasons. Some things are easier to do in the morning, others better at night. These daily rhythms, which influence many of our behaviors, are called circadian rhythms. Circadian rhythms are physical, mental, and behavioral changes that occur over a period of about 24 hours. Examples of the changes that take place in the human body include differences in temperature, hormone production, blood pressure and the acidity of the urine. The biological clock is an innate mechanism in organisms in which all kinds of bodily functions take place with a certain regularity. In all organisms, this regularity is provided by the so-called biological clock.
Biological clock
A biological clock concerns physiological and hormonal fluctuations in the body during the day. The biological clock is directly connected to the retina of the eye and is controlled by so-called time indicators. The main time indicators for the biological clock are light and darkness. The biological clock transmits this information to the body so that it can adjust its sleep and wake rhythm. In humans, social signals also play a role, such as fixed meal times.
A 'master clock', located in the brain, coordinates all biological clocks in our body so that they are properly aligned. In humans, this "master clock" is located in the hypothalamus. The hypothalamus is an area in the brain just above the point where the nerves from the eyes cross. Because it is so close to the optic nerve, it receives direct information from the eyes.
Consequences for humans
Chronobiology is concerned with the study of biological rhythms. About a hundred processes in our body have now been discovered that have their own 'clock'. Each organ has its own rhythms and these are not all equal. Without a biological clock, the organs would become less and less synchronous, so that, for example, hunger would occur when people are still asleep. Biological clocks are set in such a way that organisms know exactly what to do at what time and need the right nutrients to do so. In the morning we need carbohydrates because they can be quickly converted into energy for the day. In the evening, the food is partly converted into reserves and we have a greater need for proteins and fat-soluble vitamins for the building processes, which mainly take place at night. The growth and construction also takes place at night. This is related to the hormones that have their own cycle in the blood. Cortisol and noradrenaline peak in the morning, serotonin in the evening. Growth hormones are only released into the blood at night. To support this biorhythm, the body therefore needs substantially different nutrients during the day than during the night's sleep.
Vita Herb Multi Night
Sophisticated formula for the night
At night we especially want to be supported in our recovery. In addition, we like to fall asleep quickly after a busy day. This requires completely different nutrients than a formula for energy and concentration support.
An innovative formula especially aimed at the night!
Ultimate synergy through the combination of K2 & D3
Due to the scarcity of sun rays in our cold Benelux, an inadequate vitamin D household is more often the rule than the exception, but an insufficient vitamin K2 content also exists among approximately 90% of our population. That is why these related vitamins are included in the Multi Night formula in high and bioavailable doses.
Passion flower extract
In nature, the passion flower has an impressive appearance, we call it the most beautiful flower in the world because of its large white leaves and striking crown.
Milk thistle
A distinctive nutrient within this formula is milk thistle.
